March 20, 2019 nature note: chorus frogs singing loudly in full chorus in a small pond about a half mile from Secor park in Toledo at 50 degrees. The weirdest thing about this is is that there are no frogs singing at Secor Park and only a few at nearby Irwin Prairie Preserve. Thirty five and 40 years ago Secor Park would be loud with chorus throughout its wooded areas.
Weirdest frog thing I have seen or heard in 45 years of observing them. These videos are of pond near Secor and Irwin Prairie taken only about 5 minutes later.
